The sessions developed over the past thirty four years of Stewart’s work in healing himself and others. Along the way, there were powerful influences in their formation.
The first was an introduction to mediation through the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. From the Yogananda teachings, Stewart learned many important spiritual principles: the power of presence, being deeply present is the essential to attaining higher states of consciousness. Consciousness, pure awareness is the greatest healer, because within consciousness is divinity. It is the chaotic thoughts and emotions that we experience that prevent us from feeling this. Therefore, we must quiet the mind. In a state of loving presence and unconditional acceptance, the mind becomes quiet. In addition to this, Yogananda gave specific techniques for quietening the mind, and much more.
From the teachings of Yogananda he also learned another basic principle of spiritual healing. When we enter into a state of pure consciousness, we enter into a realm of infinite possibilities, both for light and dark. There are even forces in the psychic realms that want to mislead us and lead us to harm. Staying on the right path can be very confusing. So it is necessary to have spiritual guides and protectors on the spiritual realm that keep us safe. Everyone has spiritual guides and protectors, but because of the law of free will, they cannot help unless you invite them to. By contrast, beings aligned with dark agendas are always trying to invade our space. Divine intervention on our behalf only happens if we ask for it, and if we truly want it.
From Yogananda, He learned that it is possible to transmit spiritual blessings to a person without words or touch. Yogananda’s teachings became a foundation for his spiritual life.
The writings of Barry Kaufman had a profound influence on the formation of the sessions. Barry described three principles of healing, all based upon profound respect for the wisdom within all of us.
The first: “You are your own best expert.” What he means by this is that all the answers that you will ever need lie within you. It is the job of the healer to support you in accessing the wisdom that is already inside you.The second is “To love is to be happy with.” Love is total acceptance of what is. From this place of total acceptance and love, we grow and heal. Therefore it is the role of the facilitator to love and accept the person receiving exactly the way he is without any agendas to create change. If it is for the highest good for change to happen, the client will embrace it on his own. The healer can offer options to the client. It is up to the client whether he wants to take them. In a session I invite a client to embrace new possibilities.
The third is “effectiveness is the measure of truth.” You can test the truth of something by seeing if it achieves the results that you have asked for. This is an important reality test for any truth seeker.
From Barry’s work Stewart learned that people tend to grow the best when they feel safe and loved. The sessions are given in this spirit.
The power of the loving witness
Being witnessed with deep love has great power to help us heal. Sometimes we can get caught in a negative emotional state and simply not be able to find a way out of it. During this time one can become lost in shame and feel totally unworthy of love. Being deeply witnessed with love and compassion, can help set us free.
Joan Grant, a psychic in the early twentieth century, wrote about her experiences in setting souls free from such experiences simply by being lovingly present with them and witnessing them through her psychic vision. Often not even a word needed to be spoken. She had the compassion to be willing to be present with their suffering. Her work helped teach Stewart about the power of witnessing..
The Power of Divine Love.
Stewart received Divine Love from an angelic being that came form the heavenly realm to heal him when I was very ill. (see my story) From her, He learned that Divine Love is the most powerful healer of all. It is pure and unconditional. Through Divine Love we can travel to higher dimensions and become whole again when we need healing. In receiving Divine Love from her, he came to know that it is the very essence of who we are. In the sessions, he feels Divine Love come through him for the sake of the people being healed. Divine Love is love directly from God/ Goddess. It helps people shift into higher states of consciousness. It is a joyous and sacred experience.
The power of the Higher Self
In Stewart’s near death experience, he learned the power of the Higher Self. (see my story) Even during intense suffering, when he merged with his Higher Self, he experienced serenity and joy!,
He learned that through the power of the Higher Self, we can heal the most difficult of conditions. Through the Higher Self we can access the unlimited powers within us. Everyone has a totally unique Higher Self which never dies, and lives in constant, never ending joy. These wonderful traits are at the essence of all of us, even though sometimes we forget.
